Named after Aviva Aryeh, Aviva Rachel Bat Emmanuel, a wonderful student of mine, who passed away when she was only 18 years old. She inspired all who met her with her beautiful middos, warmth, kindness, intelligence and bitachon. When she was sick, all types of Jews all over the world united to daven for her. My hope is that the mitzvos done in her merit will continue her legacy of chessed and achdus and help her already elevated neshama reach even greater heights.
The money collected will be used to help families, mostly in the Bet Shemesh area, who are struggling financially. Some can't afford diapers, or even basic food. Twice, women have called me crying that their child had to bring a fruit to school for tu bishvat, and they had no money for that. These are families in genuine need.
