The M. family began their life like everyone else, but shortly after the wedding the father fell ill with a severe chronic disease, and at the same time his wife was diagnosed with a serious mental health condition.
Due to the medical complexity, they returned to Israel, and since then have been coping on their own with treatments and earning a livelihood.
He does everything he can to work, but hospitalizations and frequent medical follow-ups prevent stable employment.
His condition requires a special diet and costly medication, in the hope of achieving balance and later undergoing surgery.
The woman’s mental health condition also requires continuous and expensive treatment.
