The lives of the H. family were going smoothly. Even when they welcomed a daughter with a serious syndrome, her 13 brothers and sisters embraced her with love and joy.
The father held a prominent position, and the mother was successful in her own career. Their income flowed steadily, and they were able to marry off several of their children with dignity.
But one day, everything changed. The father was struck with a serious illness, and their source of livelihood was shattered.
The amount they now receive from social security is less than half of the father's previous monthly salary, and the mother has had to cut back many work hours to care for her husband.
As if dealing with the illness and their special-needs daughter weren't enough, they are now also struggling financially.
